TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF AND LOTTIE MARIE BRIDAL. WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START THE BUSINESS?

Hi, I’m Lottie! Owner of Lottie Marie Bridal.

I started in bridal at 15 years old during my work experience, however my love for all things weddings started from the day I can remember. From getting my family to draw wedding dresses with me to planning my very own wedding at just 4 years old!

During my time in the bridal industry, I noticed an increase in impersonal service, with bridal sales losing the 1-1 dedication that every bride deserves. Alongside this, after owning the business for just under a year, I noticed a lack in curve inclusivity and in 2024 that’s where our specialism began, delivering a personal and inclusive experience to every bride!

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE JQ MODERN AS THE HOME FOR YOUR BRIDAL STUDIO?

I chose JQ Modern due to its modern facilities and amazing central location. We have brides travelling from all over the UK due to the great transportation links that being in JQ provides. Our brides also love the decor- especially the gold fire extinguishers!

WHAT MAKES THE LOTTIE MARIE BRIDAL EXPERIENCE DIFFERENT FROM A TRADITIONAL BRIDAL SHOP?

Our biggest distinction is our curve inclusivity; we stock sizes 18-32, removing the need for a “plus size section” and making our studio more of a curvy haven.

We also offer completely private appointments, ran by myself and my lovely mom; are truly a family run business, roping in my dad, sister and boyfriend to chip in along the way. This is a big deal to a lot of our brides as,by being family run, this makes the experience extra personal as we really do care for every bride who walks through our doors.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT HELPING BRIDES FIND THEIR DREAM DRESSES?

Every brides “yes” moment stays with me, especially for brides who didn’t believe they could or deserve to feel that beautiful. This is one of the main motivations for doing what I do, as every bride deserves that magical feeling, regardless of size, budget or any of pre-conceived “limitation”

IS THEIR A PARTICULAR MOMENT WITH A BRIDE THAT HAS REALLY STAYED WITH YOU?

One of our most recent amazing moments was when one of the JQ Modern tenants found their dream dress with us! After meeting us at a wedding fair, we made the connection and decided it must be fate and after finding her dream dress that day I really think it was!
